"This journey began in early February 2011 for myself and American Bank!!! I am one of the hard working people who was underwater mortgage wise for my home. I was underwater due to my job being downsized in 2002. I took out a 2nd mortgage to make ends meet, then drew on it as I needed more, and I was in Credit Card debt, however my credit score was good. I always paid my bills on time - just had nothing left over.
My salary is finally back to where I was before my job was downsized and I hope to have 8 years until I retire. I went on the internet to see what interest rates were and started getting calls from Quicken, Lending Tree, etc. But ONE phone call was from American Bank and I felt so comfortable. He really listened when I explained my position and what I was trying to accomplish. At the time we began this - I had no idea that my home wouldn't appraise for what I needed it to.
To make a long story short – my loan officer WOULD NOT let me get discouraged. He handled things in such a way that I actually walked out of the loan closing having equity in my home; several high interest rate loans paid off; and money in the bank. NO LIE. I am on my way to retirement in 8 years with a fighting chance because of American Bank.
When American Bank says that they have MANY programs and that if at all possible - they will find a program that works - they mean it. I hope this helps anyone reading about American Bank to know that if at all possible - they will help you.”
